From Kanpur to Hyderabad: Gautam Gambhir’s India begin to push limits of aggression

Team India shattered record books in their victory over Bangladesh in the third T20I as they posted a massive score of 297/6 in their allotted 20 overs. It was the highest score by a Test playing nation in T20Is and the second highest overall. The mammoth total helped them to hammer Bangladesh by a humongous margin of 133 runs.
The young brigade looked fearless having been given the license to go berserk by the team management and unleashed their wrath on the hapless Bangladesh bowling. There was no respite for the opposition as Sanju Samson (111 off 47), Suryakumar Yadav (75 off 35), Hardik Pandya (47 off 18) Riyan Parag (34 off 13) and Rinku Singh (8 off 4) everyone came out all guns blazing with no qualms of being dismissed.
The entire team seems to revel in the freedom given by the management as India are keen to make a statement to the entire world with their thunderous batting display. The approach was also seen in the second Test in Kanpur where, despite a washout for over 2 days, India managed to force a result in the match through their aggressive batting.

Captain Rohit Sharma walked the talk right from the word go as he danced down the track on the first ball itself to whack it for a six. The move rubbed on to the rest of the players as India went on a record breaking spree and registered the fastest team 50, 100, 150, 200 and 250 in Tests.
As a result they managed to get ahead in the game in just 34.4 overs and were able to produce a result in the match in just 173.2 overs. India’s victory in Kanpur sent warning signs to the rest of the teams of that no matter what they will go for a win. The two-time world cup winner has further continued the same template set by former T20I captain Rohit Sharma, to go all out in the shortest format and make the most of each and every ball.
